Programming
The details of the Con*Stellation XXVII program have been finalized. Barring schedule changes, wormholes, or rabid weasel attacks, this schedule (also printed in our "Pocket Guide" and deluxe Program Book) should be your guide to all scheduled programming at Con*Stellation XXVII. You can check out the finalized schedule to see what is happening this year. Any schedule changes will be announced at the convention.
The basics are that the con will begin with an opening of on-site registration at Noon on Friday, October 17th, and close for general operation about 3pm on Sunday, October 19th. You won't want to miss anything from Opening Ceremonies and Meet the Guests on Friday to the Dead Dog party (no actual dogs) on Sunday.
Here are a few of the highlights that you won't want to miss!
- Meet the Guests - On Friday night come schmooze and nosh at the Meet the Guest reception, across from the Con Suite.
- Name That Movie - Think you know movies? Then be a contestant in Name That Movie, but you’ll need to be faster than your opponents in recognizing a movie still.
- Short Attention Span Theater - If you like your movies in smaller bites, check out Short Attention Span Theater.
- Author and Editor Panels - Panels in planning for our author and editor guests include subjects like "What Not To Submit", "Mentoring", and "It’s All In The Details", "How to Write 'My Little Pony' and Live".
- Webcomics - Artist GoH Bill Holbrook will be conducting a Docent’s Tour of the Art Show and talking about his life in webcomics.
- Science! - It’s Huntsville and we really are Rocket Scientists. Well, a few of us. Science topics in the works include a discussion of the Ares 1-X flight.
- Anime Trivia for Chocolate - Answer trivia questions and get rewarded with chocolate!
- Make It and Take It - The Craftsters of Con*Stellation will give you a mini-project you can work on and take with you around the con.
- And Much More!
